Flock Cameras: Updates And Latest Info

Surveillance Company Flock Now Using AI to Report Us to Police if it Thinks Our Movement Patterns Are “Suspicious”

Flock license plate readers are motion-activated cameras paired with cloud-based software built for public safety and security.

Unlike traditional security cameras that record continuous video, Flock cameras focus on capturing specific vehicle information as vehicles pass through a defined location. This includes: check icon, License plate number, check icon, Vehicle make, model, color, and body type, check icon, Date, time, and general location of detection

The police surveillance company Flock has built an enormous nationwide license plate tracking system, which streams records of Americans’ comings and goings into a private national database that it makes available to police officers around the country. The system allows police to search the nationwide movement records of any vehicle that comes to their attention. That’s bad enough on its own, but the company is also now apparently analyzing our driving patterns to determine if we’re “suspicious.” That means if your police start using Flock, they could target you just because some algorithm has decided your movement patterns suggest criminality.

There has been a lot of reporting lately about Flock but I haven’t seen anyone focus on this feature. It’s a significant expansion in the use of the company’s surveillance infrastructure — from allowing police to find out more about specific vehicles of interest, to using the system to generate suspicion in the first place. The company’s cameras are no longer just recording our comings and goings — now, using AI in ways we have long warned against, the system is actively evaluating each of us to make a decision about whether we should be reported to law enforcement as potential participants in organized crime.

In a February 13 press release touting an “Expansive AI and Data Analysis Toolset for Law Enforcement,” the company announced several new capabilities, including something called “Multi-State Insights”:

Many large-scale criminal activities—such as human and narcotics trafficking and Organized Retail Crime (ORC)—involve movement across state lines. With our new Multi-State Insights feature, law enforcement is alerted when suspect vehicles have been detected in multiple states, helping investigators uncover networks and trends linked to major crime organizations.

Flock appears to offer this capability through a larger “Investigations Manager,” which urges police departments to “Maximize your LPR data to detect patterns of suspicious activity across cities and states.” The company also offers a “Linked Vehicles” or “Convoy Search” allowing police to “uncover vehicles frequently seen together,” putting it squarely in the business of tracking people’s associations, and a “Multiple locations search,” which promises to “Uncover vehicles seen in multiple locations.” All these are variants on the same theme: using the camera network not just to investigate based on suspicion, but to generate suspicion itself.

In a democracy, the government shouldn’t be watching its citizens all the time just in case we do something wrong. It’s one thing if a police officer out on a street sees something suspicious in public and reacts. But this is an entirely different matter.

First, the police should not be collecting and storing data on people’s movements and travel across space and time in the first place, or contracting to use a private company’s technology to accomplish the same thing. Second, they shouldn’t be taking that data and running it through AI algorithms to potentially swing the government’s eye of suspicion toward random, innocent civilians whose travel patterns just happen to fit what that algorithm thinks is worth bringing to the attention of the police.

And of course because Flock is a private company not subject to checks and balances such as open records laws and oversight by elected officials, we know nothing about the nature of the algorithm or algorithms that it uses— what logic it may be based upon, the data upon which it was trained, or the frequency and nature of its error rates. Does anyone actually know whether there are movement patterns characteristic of criminal behavior that won’t sweep in vastly larger numbers of innocent people?

We also don’t know what kind of biases the company’s algorithms might exhibit; it’s very easy to imagine an algorithm trained on past criminal histories in which low-income neighborhoods and communities of color are highly over-represented because of the well-established, top-to-bottom biases in our criminal justice system. That could mean that just living in such a neighborhood could make you inherently suspicious in the eyes of this system in a way that someone living in a wealthier place would never be. Among other problems, that’s just plain unfair.

The bottom line is that Flock, having built its giant surveillance infrastructure, is now expanding its uses — validating all our warnings about how such systems inevitably undergo mission creep, and providing all the more reason why communities should refuse to allow the police departments that serve them to participate in this mass surveillance system.

What are ALPRs

Automated License Plate Readers (ALPRs or LPRs) are AI-powered cameras that capture and analyze images of all passing vehicles, storing details like your car's location, date, and time. They also capture your car's make, model, color, and identifying features such as dents, roof racks, and bumper stickers, often turning these into searchable data points.

These cameras collect data on millions of vehicles regardless of whether the driver is suspected of a crime. These systems are marketed as indispensable tools to fight crime, but they ignore the powerful tools police already have to track criminals, such as cell phone location data, creating a loophole that doesn't require a warrant.

ALPRs are a serious risk to your privacy and civil liberties. These systems continuously record your movements without a warrant, probable cause, or even reasonable suspicion. Your driving history is rarely confined to the town or city where the cameras are installed. It's typically shared with thousands of other agencies nationwide (secretly). Once the data is out of your community, you have no control over how it's used or what rules apply, leading to instances of misuse.

What is Flock?

Flock Safety is one of the largest ALPR vendors in the United States. Their cameras are installed for police departments, businesses, and HOAs. Captured vehicle data is uploaded to Flock's cloud system, where participating agencies can search and share information across jurisdictions.

Flock is not the only ALPR vendor, and other vendors still participate in similar practices.

Police Keep Losing Their Jobs For Using Flock Cameras To Stalk People

Flock cameras—solar-powered, automated license plate readers, weighing less than 3 pounds and designed to be unobtrusive—can be found on 80,000 street corners throughout the country. The company behind the cameras built an $8.3 billion business empowering officers to track people’s movements. Nationwide, Flock cameras log billions of license plates each month. And now dozens of reports are emerging of police using the cameras not to solve crimes, but to stalk their partners and exes.

Over a two-month period in 2025, Milwaukee police officer Josue Ayala searched the license plate number of someone he was dating over 200 times, according to court documents. He also searched for his partner’s ex.

Another Milwaukee officer, Tehrangi Chapman, was assigned to investigate Ayala’s case. Ayala was charged with misconduct, resigned, and was sentenced to one year’s probation. Then, this week, Chapman too was charged with “misuse of GPS information.” While investigating Ayala, he allegedly engaged in the exact same misconduct, using the technology to track people in his own life.

The Institute for Justice, a libertarian public-interest law firm, identified at least 24 similar cases nationwide of officers using automated license-plate reader (ALPR) cameras like Flock to stalk romantic interests over the past two years. Nearly all of those officers were criminally charged and lost their jobs.

Nearly all of those officers were criminally charged and lost their jobs.

This month alone, at least six new cases were reported in local media outlets. Beyond Chapman’s case in Wisconsin, officers in Illinois, South Carolina, Texas, California, and Georgia all lost their jobs due to alleged misuse of Flock cameras.

Chad Marlow, senior policy counsel at the ACLU, has been following technology and privacy issues for over a decade. “The tracking of an individual vehicle, as it moves throughout an area, can reveal very deeply personal and private information, not only about the vehicle but the person operating it,” Marlow said. “That is Flock at its most dangerous.” (When reached for comment, a Flock Safety representative sent press releases about its audit assistance tool.)

Six years ago, Mother Jones’ Daniel Moattar detailed how some of California’s most populous counties were collecting information using ALPRs—mostly tracking people who weren’t even under suspicion of any crime. And in 2013, the ACLU said that just 47 of every million plates scanned by Maryland ALPRs that year “were even tentatively associated with actual serious crimes.”

But in the years since then, police use of ALPRs has increased across the country. The cameras have been used to go after immigrants without warrants, and to track people seeking abortions as they travel across state lines for the procedure. Though there are several companies that make ALPRs, Flock is by far the largest, with more than 80,000 cameras spread throughout the United States. Flock Safety’s CEO, Garrett Langley, has said he wants his cameras “on every corner.”

But the backlash against Flock and other ALPRs is growing. The technology, activists say, holds potential for misuse. And even when it’s used as intended, some researchers say the company’s data sharing practices lead to privacy rights violations. Throughout 2025, at least 30 municipalities canceled their Flock contracts. Grassroots groups such as DeFlock have built maps showing the public where these license-plate readers are located. (Langley called DeFlock and other activists “terroristic” last year, and apologized this week.)

And Marlow of the ACLU expects the pushback to keep getting louder. “In these incredibly divisive political times, we’re actually seeing the rare issue that unites Americans: opposition to government surveillance,” Marlow said. “And I don’t think it’s going anywhere. I think this movement is only going to grow.”

How Cops Use Flock to Track People, Not Cars

Cops have used Flock's FreeForm search feature to look for people with tattoos and wearing specific sport shirts, and searches sometimes include the target's race, according to data reviewed by 404 Media.

Police departments around the country have used Flock cameras at least hundreds of times to search for specific people, not cars, using searches such as “heavy-set male with a black and white hat,” “person on skateboard,” and “person wearing orange vest and construction hat,” according to data reviewed by 404 Media. Sometimes searches reference a target’s race or signs of their political affiliation.

The searches highlight that while most people associate Flock cameras with scanning license plates and tracking vehicles, some of the cameras are also capable of following the movements of particular people or groups of people. Flock’s nationwide network of cameras lets police officers in one state search for a vehicle across many other states at once; the people searches do a similar thing, typically on a smaller scale, sometimes querying many hundreds of cameras at once. These are called “FreeForm” searches, and allow cops to use Flock’s system as though they would use a search engine, with Flock’s AI and image recognition interpreting what footage and which people are relevant to a police officer’s search.

“Much of the world hasn’t quite caught up yet to how much more powerful a surveillance camera is today compared to a few years ago. AI video analytics means that giant oceans of video data can now be searched the same way big text files can be, including for sensitive content such as t-shirts, tattoos, and bumper stickers. Even without face recognition, that’s a significant increase in surveillance capability,” Jay Stanley, senior policy analyst for the American Civil Liberties Union’s (ACLU) Speech, Privacy, and Technology Project, told 404 Media in an email.

“This is a classic bait-and-switch. Your town was pitched a tool to catch stolen cars and find missing kids,” Tom Bowman, policy counsel, security … surveillance, at the Center for Democracy … Technology, told 404 Media in a statement. Instead, cops now have the capability to search for a specific person or description of a person across a wealth of camera networks at once. “It's like being sold a smoke detector and only later finding out it's been recording every conversation in your house.”

The searches sometimes stretch across dozens or even nearly a hundred networks of Flock cameras at once. Sometimes the searches are so vague that they can pull up images of innocent or unrelated people. Other examples in the data reviewed by 404 Media include:

Dunwoody GA PD looking for someone wearing a “backpack,” and later “person walking” and “black sweatshirt.” The latter two searches were across nine networks of cameras each

Pocatello ID PD searching for “a male on foot” across 38 cameras. Another search was “atlanta falcons,” referencing the NFL team

Corona CA PD searching for “american flag shirt” and “dodger shirt.”

Milford CT PD looking for “male with tattoos,” “male with brown hair,” and “woman blue shirt,” across more than a hundred cameras

The California Highway Patrol looking for someone wearing a “gray shirt” across 274 cameras

The Texas Department of Public Safety searching 96 networks of cameras for “man weasring [sic] a black t-shirt and shorts.”

Florence SC PD looking for “person with gun” across 61 cameras

Chamblee GA PD searching 85 camera networks for “white woman wearing grey shirt, blonde hair, black shorts with blue and white shoes.” The agency also searched for “female with ugg boots.”

Brookhaven GA PD looking for “tall man.”

Some searches referenced the race of the person authorities were looking for. The California Highway Patrol was “Looking for a white male about 6ft 1in tall, longer brown hair almost to his shoulders, slender build, will have been wearing blue jeans, boots with white paint stains on the toes and possibly carrying a black helmet.” Atlanta GA PD searched for “non caucasion [sic] male wearing blue shirt blue pants white hat.”

Some searches are part of an “investigation,” according to the “reason” field in the data. Others are part of a missing persons case. In some it is not clear what the reason for the search was because it is redacted.

“Unfortunately, this ability to search cameras as though doing a search engine inquiry is increasingly common for surveillance cameras,” Beryl Lipton, senior investigative researcher at the Electronic Frontier Foundation, told 404 Media. “AI-enabled video analysis across reams of footage exacerbates the risk that law-abiding people minding their own business end up with police observing them without their knowledge and opens them to possibly being implicated in a crime or being treated as a criminal. Imagine how many people at any given moment may be walking on foot, wearing a backpack, or existing with brown hair. It wasn’t that long ago that Trayvon Martin was murdered by someone who could argue that wearing a hoodie justified suspicion and a claim of self-defense.”

404 Media reviewed data collected by HaveIBeenFlocked.com, a website that collates Flock search-related data obtained through public records requests. Since 404 Media revealed local police were performing Flock searches on behalf of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), journalists, activists, and residents across the country have requested “Network Audits” from their local police departments. These spreadsheets show in granular detail when an officer searched Flock cameras, how many cameras they queried, and the stated reason why.

A sometimes overlooked part of those audits is a field called “text_prompt.” This relates to a feature in Flock called FreeForm search, which lets officers search cameras not by typing in a license plate but with a natural language phrase. Sometimes these FreeForm searches are descriptions of vehicles, but they often include descriptions of people.

Flock primarily advertises its FreeForm as a feature for its Condor video cameras, which are separate from its automatic license plate reader (ALPR) cameras. These video cameras have “people detection alerts,” and “Guardian Mode” automatically zooms in on people and vehicles. “Deploy AI-powered video where it matters most—no blind spots, no hassle, and fully integrated into Flock,” the company’s website reads. But the AI-analyzed feeds are not entirely divorced from ALPR; Flock has designed the systems to work in tandem. Kevin Cox, a Flock consultant who previously worked for the Grand Prairie Police Department in Texas, previously said, “video combined with the LPR evidence of placing a vehicle at the scene or nearby is an incredibly game changing experience into the prosecutorial chain of events.”

Flock launched FreeForm in February 2025, although the company’s announcement at the time focused on searches related to vehicles. Some FreeForm searches 404 Media reviewed indicate a target’s potential political affiliation, such as the Anne Arundel County MD PD searching 198 networks for “white jeep with trump flag.”

One example search Flock gives on its website is for “camo hat orange vest.”

Flock told 404 Media in a statement “FreeForm is designed to help investigators quickly search through large amounts of footage when they are working with limited information, such as a witness description of a person or vehicle.”

“FreeForm is not facial recognition. Flock’s products do not have facial recognition, and we have no facial recognition technology in development. FreeForm cannot identify a person by name, verify someone’s identity, or search for a specific face,” the company added. Flock said authorities used FreeForm searches in a September 2025 AMBER alert case and in Emporia, Kansas, when an elderly man left an assisted living facility.

Flock said FreeForm searches have “guardrails,” including users not able to search attributes such as “race, ethnicity, religion, nationality.” When they do, an alert is generated and sent to the agency’s administrators, Flock said. Some of the searches 404 Media found did discuss someone’s race.

Stanley from the ACLU added, “Imagine that your police department stationed officers on corners around your community writing down notes on where you are at what time, but also what you’re wearing every day, what objects you might be carrying — and writing down those details on everybody, 24/7. You would ask, why are they keeping notes on everybody? That’s pretty intrusive. But that’s basically what these systems do.”

“All this goes to show that Flock is eager not just to expand its surveillance of drivers across America through license plate readers, but to expand into every new kind of surveillance that technology makes possible. And then to link these data streams together to capture even more information about how everybody is living their lives. I don’t think most Americans want to live under that kind of constant automated surveillance,” he wrote.

In May 2025, 404 Media revealed Flock planned to use hacked data as part of a massive people lookup tool. The idea was to use information from data brokers and data breaches to “jump from LPR [license plate reader] to person,” according to internal Flock meeting audio 404 Media previously obtained. Flock scrapped the plan to use hacked data after 404 Media’s coverage and internal pressure.

In December 2025, 404 Media reported Flock left at least 60 of its people-tracking cameras exposed to the wider internet, letting anyone watch their feeds in real time. Those were Flock Condor cameras, and not its more widespread license plate reading cameras.

What are Flock cameras and where are they in Miami-Dade and Broward?

Those black, oval shaped devices you see popping up on poles in Miami-Dade and Broward counties aren’t regular traffic cameras, they’re AI-powered Flock cameras. And residents aren’t too keen on their arrival.

The cameras, also known as ALPR cameras, are powered by Flock Safety and use artificial intelligence to scan license plates. Other Flock technology uses audio-detecting technology to identify sounds like gunfire or car crashes.

DeFlock, an open-source project that maps where the cameras are in the U.S., shows almost 400 Flock cameras installed in Miami-Dade County. The site shows Broward County has twice that many at over 800 cameras, with a big concentration in the Fort Lauderdale area, including Pembroke Pines and Hollywood.

While the Flock Safety website states it partners with businesses and local communities to implement the technology, the company is most known for its partnerships with law-enforcement agencies, which are said to use the technology to solve crimes like missing persons or stolen vehicles.

It is unclear if any Miami-Dade or Broward agencies have partnerships with the company. Neither county’s sheriff’s office immediately responded to a Miami Herald inquiry about a contract or partnership with Flock, nor did police departments from Miami, Miami Gardens, Miami Beach, Hollywood and Fort Lauderdale.

A YouTube video might depict a relationship with Flock Safety and MDSO, though.

In the video, posted by Flock Safety in March, Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Major George Perera speaks with a Flock representative concerning a tip that the agency received about the security of the technology.

Perera said MDSO’s Electronic Crimes Task Force analyzed the technology and found it to be secure.

“We feel confident in the product to be able to continue to have a relationship,” Perera said in the video.

Controversy about the cameras

Flock cameras have become so widespread, residents are taking to social media to air their grievances.

Tiffany Hudson, 38, of Plantation, created a Facebook group called “Get the Flock Out of Florida” after learning her city would implement close to 100 cameras. She said in a city of about 100,000 residents, that’s a lot of cameras.

“People are like, ‘So what? Big deal, it snaps a picture of your car,’” she told a Miami Herald reporter. “But what happens is they put a camera on this street, then the next street, then the next street. … They have them all over the place, so you’re under surveillance all the time.”

The Flock Safety website says the license plate-reading cameras don’t detect faces, people, gender or race and its audio-detecting equipment doesn’t record conversations, but Floridians like Hudson are concerned about their data being tracked.

Unless stated otherwise by an individual contract — whether that be with a law-enforcement agency or business — the Flock website says all data gathered from the cameras are only stored for 30 days. But that’s not to say data isn’t being sold, Hudson said.

“We don’t know what’s happening to our data,” she said. “Our data is being taken and given to [people or agencies] we don’t even know.”

On its website, Flock repeatedly states it does not sell data to third parties nor can any outside agencies access it without permission.

ICE and immigration worries

While Flock’s website says it doesn’t work directly with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement or share data with the agency, it says individual agencies like police departments that partner with Flock can share the data if they choose.

Budget data from Florida’s State Board of Immigration Enforcement states several law-enforcement agencies have requested funds for Flock cameras and similar ALPR technology.

“Flock Safety ALPR scans plates in real-time, cross-referencing against immigration databases for warrants, deportees, or smuggling vehicles. Under 287(g) and ICE partnerships, it flags suspicious patterns on routes like US-19, aiding arrests and data sharing,” one of the budget requests said.

Law-enforcement agencies outside of Florida have reevaluated their partnerships with the company based on similar concerns. In Dayton, Ohio, the police department suspended its partnership with Flock and placed trash bags over its cameras after finding more than 7,000 cases of immigration enforcement-related searches. The Los Angeles Police Department ended its partnership with the company last week and is in the process of renegotiating it over concerns of how Flock Safety stored the data.

In Miami Beach

Along the Venetian Causeway — one of the main links between Miami Beach and the mainland — DeFlock shows nine Flock cameras installed. In Miami Beach alone, the website shows four ALPR cameras — two of which are Flock Safety cameras — near the intersection of Alton Road and 14th Street.

Despite the low number of Flock cameras installed in the city, Miami Beach resident Alex Giassa, 56, said he thinks the company is a data-sharing scheme.

“It’s not just an invasion of privacy, it’s really a violation of everything that we stand for as Americans,” he said. “Yes, we have the Fourth Amendment, but isn’t it our choice also when we want somebody to know something?”

With Flock cameras, he said privacy takes on a new meaning — with people needing to recognize their actions are constantly monitored.

“It just infuriates me. … Regardless of where you go and who you meet with, you’re being tracked,” he said.

$112B Plan To Rebuild Gaza Called "Project Sunrise"

AI Overview

"Project Sunrise" is a $112 billion, 10-year proposal led by Jared Kushner and U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff to reconstruct the Gaza Strip into a high-tech, luxury coastal hub, according to reports in late December 2025 and January 2026. Unveiled during the World Economic Forum in Davos in January 2026, the plan aims to turn the war-torn territory into a "Middle East Riviera" with high-rise hotels, smart cities, and AI-optimized energy networks.

Key Aspects of Project Sunrise:

Vision: The 32-page blueprint proposes "pie-slice-shaped" smart cities, a new seaport, an airport, and a freight rail line.

Development Plan: The plan, which is slated to take 10 years, focuses on turning 70% of the coastline into commercial and tourist space. It is structured in phases, starting with "New Rafah" in the south to house 100,000 units before moving north.

Funding: The proposal includes a $112.1 billion investment strategy, with the U.S. potentially anchoring approximately $60 billion in grants and loan guarantees.

Conditions: The plan is heavily contingent on the total demilitarization of Hamas, with Kushner emphasizing there is "no Plan B" without verified disarmament.

Challenges and Criticism:

Security & Feasibility: Critics and officials doubt the feasibility of the project while Hamas is still active or without a stable political solution.

Humanitarian Concerns: The proposal faces backlash for focusing on luxury development rather than immediate, sustainable housing for the 2 million displaced residents, with some critics calling it a form of "colonization".

Rubble Removal: The plan faces a massive hurdle in simply clearing the estimated 60 million tons of debris, which the UN estimates could take over seven years.

Kushner has argued that with proper security, the project could transform the region rapidly, citing similar developments in other parts of the world.

Trump admin. pitches 'Project Sunrise' to turn Gaza into 'futuristic coastal destination'

The plan to transform the Gaza Strip into a "gleaming metropolis" was shown in 32 PowerPoint slides in a pitch to world governments and investors, the report said.

The Trump administration is pitching “Project Sunrise,” a plan that will reportedly rebuild the Gaza Strip into a “futuristic coastal destination,” according to a Friday report by the Wall Street Journal.

It noted that US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, along with US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff and two other White House aides, drafted a proposal comprising 32 PowerPoint slides to transform Gaza.

The presentation, depicted as “sensitive but unclassified,” was shown to Turkey, Egypt, and several investors and wealthy Gulf kingdoms, according to the report.

This reconstruction would cost $112.1 billion over 10 years, according to the WSJ, which cited the draft proposal. The US would provide $60b. in grants, with the plan stating that Gaza would eventually be able to self-fund many projects.

The WSJ also notes that the presentation doesn’t specify which countries or companies would fund the reconstruction, nor where Gaza’s residents would live during the rebuilding. This has caused some US officials to express doubt about the plan, with some saying that Hamas will refuse to disarm in the first place.

The proposal was developed over 45 days, with Kushner and Witkoff enlisting the help of senior White House aide Josh Gruenbaum.

Officials cited by the WSJ said that if the project goes through, they plan to “update and revise the numbers about every two years as it unfolds.”

Kushner and Witkoff had previously met with Egyptian, Turkish, and Qatari officials in Miami to discuss developments in Gaza before the two US officials delivered their presentation.

Initial US announcement of Gaza takeover was made by Trump in February

The report by the WSJ comes almost a year after Trump initially announced during a joint press conference with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the US would take over the management of the Gaza Strip for the foreseeable future.

He said that by taking over Gaza, the US will create economic development that will provide an “unlimited number of jobs and housing for the people of the area.”

“We’re going to develop it, create thousands and thousands of jobs, and it will be something that the entire Middle East could be very proud of,” Trump said.

Friday’s WSJ report cited supporters of Kushner’s and Witkoff’s latest proposal, who said that allowing Gaza to continue without reconstruction or development is a worse alternative. It also cited Trump’s vision of turning Gaza into the “Riviera of the Middle East” as a better solution.

Kushner, Witkoff draft $112B proposal to develop Gaza into ‘smart city’ with luxury resorts

Trump administration reps have just revealed a grandiose $112 billion plan to rebuild war-torn Gaza into a futuristic international destination dubbed “Project Sunrise.”

The 10-year development plan, drafted by first son-in-law Jared Kushner, US special envoy Steve Witkoff, and two top White House aides, is currently courting investor countries with a 32-slide PowerPoint presentation detailing the bold plan to renovate burning rubble into beach resorts.

Illustration of the "Humanitarian Islands in Gaza" Plan: Interim Phase, showing various IDP cities, crossings, security inspections, and humanitarian aid routes within the Gaza Strip.

Gaza would see the development of luxury hotels, high speed rail and AI-optimized smart grid features that would revolutionize the small slice of the coveted Mediterranean coastline into a bustling metropolis, the Wall Street Journal reported.

“Gaza’s destruction has been profound, but we believe what lies ahead is not just restoration — it’s a chance to develop a gateway of prosperity in the Middle East with state-of-the-art infrastructure, urban design, and technology,” the executive summary slide read, according to the outlet.

The total $112 billion cost would be spread out over 10 years, with the US agreeing to “anchor” up to $60 billion in grants and guarantees on debts by raising industry funds.

“Reimagining Gaza as a ‘smart city’ with tech-driven governance and services,” one slide from the PowerPoint presentation beamed.

The ambitious proposal — developed within the last 45 days by Kushner, Witkoff, and White House aides consulted Israeli security experts about the path forward — further called for establishing a “Chief Digital Office and an innovation lab to define standards and guide policymaking.”

The presentation does not go into detail about which countries or companies would be investing in the rebuilding fund, according to WSJ.

Though the plan mapped out distinct phases of construction, it did not provide details for housing the 2 million Palestinians who would be displaced during the massive construction necessary.

There is an estimated 68 million tons of rubble in Gaza after thousands of Israeli airstrikes leveled cities during the two-year war in Gaza.

US officials who have knowledge of the proposal are skeptical that it will come to fruition because a condition would be Hamas agreeing to disarm, the Journal reported.

Witkoff, meanwhile, met Saturday in Miami with high-level delegations from Egypt, Turkey and Qatar to discuss implementation for the second phase of the Gaza cease-fire plan.

Project Sunrise: US $112bn Gaza plan turning war into a real estate bonanza

US envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff and US President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner have pitched a $112 billion worth of “Project Sunrise” for the development of the war-torn Gaza. The pitch, termed as "sensitive but unclassified,” had 32 pages of PowerPoint slides, with skyscrapers, luxury resorts, high-speed rail, AI-optimised smart grids- a real estate bonanza. The plan doesn't clarify where the 2 million Gazans will live during reconstruction, which nation or companies will fund the project, or what the return on investment will be.

The Project Sunrise

It was developed by Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff with help from Israeli firms and security officials within 45 days. The proposal was shown to officials from Egypt, Turkey and Qatar in Miami on Friday. The project, reportedly, will cost around $112.1 billion and will take 10 years. It plans to develop the Gaza Strip in three phases- removal of destroyed buildings, unexploded ordnance and Hamas’s tunnels- construction of permanent housing, medical facilities, schools and religious spaces- then the luxury beachfront properties, tech corridors and modern transportation hubs will be developed. Geographically, it will start in the South from Rafah, Khan Yunis, then the central camps and finally Gaza City. The United States is supposed to anchor 20 per cent of the fund, and then there will be funding from foreign government grants and sovereign debts.

Why is the Project a trap?

The project classically fits within the framework of a neo-colonial, extractive capitalism. Here, extraction replaces occupation. The projected plan is based on the demilitarisation and decommission of Hamas' weapons and its tunnel network.

“You are not going to convince anyone to invest money in Gaza if they believe another war is going to happen in two, three years,” said US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

But the proposal skips some of the fundamental steps. Normally, any conflict resolution will follow these steps chronologically: cease fire, political settlements, re-establishment of governance and then reconstruction. But here it's a ceasefire, then demilitarisation and then reconstruction. Political security and sovereignty to be figured out later. For Hamas, which was formed to end the colonial occupation of Israel and establish a Palestinian state, this will be hard to swallow. Further, there is no plan for the 2 million people to live during the reconstruction of Gaza. The humanitarian aid is conditional on the political surrender, which is a form of coercion. Moreover, the proposal frames this as “Dubai in the Mediterranean”, tries to erase years of trauma and the history and tries to portray it as an underutilised 'real estate'. Palestinians are promised jobs later, not ownership. The rebuilding process starts with holding 2 million people hostage. The core contradiction is how does free economy works on occupied and unfree people and land.

Astronauts Are To Be Dumbed Down On Their Way To Mars - Exclusive Report

Dumbing down is a deliberate diminution of the intellectual capacity of individuals.

Conspiracy theorists might suggest that there is a plan and goal by the federal government to condition astronauts.

A new study, just published in Science Advances, finds that the smartest humans who will be chosen to go to Mars may not remain smart by the time they reach their destination.

Space may be largely empty, but it’s filled up with invisible charged particles traveling at nearly the speed of light. Earth’s magnetic field deflects these particles, but space travelers will inevitably be exposed to such radiation. And the new study predicts that it will cause rapid and permanent damage to the brain.

In the study, the researchers from the University of California, Irvine and University of Nevada, Las Vegas, subjected mice to radiation similar to the gamma cosmic rays that humans will be exposed to on their way to Mars. After six weeks of exposure to the radiation, which was made up of charged oxygen and titanium atoms, mice were given cognitive tests.

When compared to mice who were not exposed to radiation, the irradiated mice performed far worse. On being shown familiar objects, these mice weren't interested. They also lacked curiosity towards new objects.

These observations can be only be explained by the changes that occurred in brains of the irradiated mice. The researchers found that the radiation had hacked at the branches originating from neurons. These branches, and the connections they form, are vital to the proper functioning of the brain. Losing them has been associated with Alzheimer’s disease in humans.

Space radiation is so harmful because its high-energy particles leave tracks of damage in cells and tissue that are difficult for the body’s repair system to fix. This occurs because the ionized particles are like bullets inside of bullets: Once the big bullet manages to enter cells or tissue, it causes further damage by firing off many more smaller bullets.

Over the period of many months, which is what a Mars mission would require, humans would suffer from similar cognitive deficits. Short trips, say to the Moon, should be safer.

Staying cognitively sharp to face any unexpected situation during a space mission is a matter of life or death, especially when any communication with the Earth will have increasing delays introduced by the growing distance between the spacecraft and our terrestrial home. This study was the first to test the effects of space radiation on cognition in such detail.

According to the lead scientist of the study, Charles Limoli, there is no way to fully escape high-energy particles. Trying to carry effective shields is currently prohibitively expensive—the heavier the shielding equipment, the more rocket fuel you need.

Alex Jones And Bill Hicks, Separated At Birth?

February 26th 2015, marked the 21st anniversary of the untimely death of comedian, writer and social critic Bill Hicks. If you’re not familiar with the late stand-up’s work, just go to YouTube, search for his name.

Hicks ruthlessly skewered consumerism, popular culture, anti-intellectualism, politics and the hypocrisy of religion – all before his untimely death at the age of 32. While Hicks was unabashed in his disgust for modern entertainment, the Gulf War and the meddling of social conservatives, he was also something of a conspiracy theorist.

He regularly went off on stage about the “official story” behind the JFK assassination, as well as making allusions to government mind control, CIA plots, and the botched raid on the Branch Davidian compound in Waco. Twenty years after his death – there's a theory that he didn’t die, but faked his cancer and re-emerged some time later under a new persona: conspiracy theorist and Infowars head Alex Jones.

The idea that Hicks might have reinvented himself as Alex Jones has a few aspects going for it.

– Hicks and Jones both spent their formative years in Texas, with Hicks’ family moving there when he was seven and Jones born in Dallas.

– Both share a penchant for exposing perceived government plots, conspiracies and false “official stories.”

– They have similar facial features, with ruddy cheeks, high foreheads, drooping eyes and near-identical teeth.

– While Hicks would be 53 in 2015, and Jones is 41, Jones looks much older than he is.

– Hicks died in 1994, and Jones first appeared on the scene just a few years later, becoming a local favorite as a radio talk show host in Austin in 1996.

– Both love music.

Additionally, they both spent a large amount of time talking about the Waco incident, with Jones campaigning to get the Branch Davidian church rebuilt.

– The two never appear to have met, but share a connection in Hicks’ childhood friend and collaborator Kevin Booth, who would go on to become a cameraman for Jones.

So did Hicks reinvent himself as Alex Jones?

The idea of Bill Hicks faking his death and returning as Alex Jones started when someone noticed their physical similarities and shared belief in conspiracies. After all, plenty of other celebrities are thought to have faked their death – why not one more?

Hicks was only 32 at the time of his death, had been performing in comedy clubs half his life. He’d been on Letterman, released two albums, opened for the band Tool, toured the US extensively and was a major star in England. He spoke of transitioning into something major before his death.

So is Alex Jones actually Bill Hicks after a little surgery? Only Bill Hicks or let's say Alex Jones knows for sure.

Strange But True: The Earth Is Not Round Or Flat It's Oblong

 The Oblong Earth

NASA's images of the Earth may seem round when viewed from space, but our planet is actually very much oblong.

NASA's photos seem to show that the Earth is round from space, appearances, however, can be deceiving because planet Earth is in fact, oblong.

So it turns out that the Earth is not flat or round. Well before Columbus sailed the ocean blue, Aristotle and other ancient Greek scholars proposed that the planet was oblong. This was based on a number of observations, such as the fact that departing ships not only appeared smaller as they sailed away but also seemed to sink into the horizon, as one might expect if sailing across an oblong object says geographer Bill Carstensen of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg.

Isaac Newton first proposed that Earth was not perfectly round. Instead, he suggested it was an oblong shape—a sphere that is squashed at its poles and swollen at the equator. He was correct and, because of this bulge, the distance from Earth's center to sea level is roughly 21 kilometers (13 miles) greater at the equator than at the poles.

Instead of Earth being like a spinning top made of steel, explains geologist Vic Baker at the University of Arizona in Tucson it has "a bit of plasticity that allows the shape to deform at the equator. The effect would be similar to spinning a bit of Silly Putty, the Earth's plasticity is very much like that of the silicone plastic clay so familiar to children."

Our globe, however, is not even a perfect oblate spheroid, because mass is distributed unevenly within the planet. The greater a concentration of mass is, the stronger its gravitational pull, "creating bumps around the globe," says geologist Joe Meert at the University of Florida in Gainesville.

Earth's shape also changes over time due to a menagerie of other dynamic factors. Mass shifts around inside the planet, altering those gravitational anomalies. Mountains and valleys emerge and disappear due to plate tectonics. Occasionally meteors crater the surface. And the gravitational pull of the moon and sun not only cause ocean and atmospheric tides but earth tides as well.

In addition, the changing weight of the oceans and atmosphere can cause deformations of the crust "on the order of a centimeter or so," notes geophysicist Richard Gross at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif. "There's also postglacial rebound, with the crust and mantle that were depressed by the huge ice sheets that sat on the surface during the last ice age now rebounding upward on the order of a centimeter a year."

Moreover, to even out Earth's imbalanced distribution of mass and stabilize its spin, "the entire surface of the Earth will rotate and try to redistribute mass along the equator, a process called true polar wander," Meert says.

To keep track of Earth's shape, scientists now position thousands of Global Positioning System receivers on the ground that can detect changes in their elevation of a few millimeters, Gross says. Another method, dubbed satellite laser ranging, fires visible-wavelength lasers from a few dozen ground stations at satellites. Any changes detected in their orbits correspond to gravitational anomalies and thus mass distributions inside the planet. Still another technique, very long baseline interferometry, has radio telescopes on the ground listen to extragalactic radio waves to detect changes in the positions of the ground stations. It may not take much technology to understand that the Earth is oblong, but it takes quite a bit of effort and equipment to determine its true shape.

White House Builds Super Underground Bunker That Will Play A Part Or Role In The Coming Alien Full Disclosure

Grey Alien

The Alien bodies that were recovered from the Roswell crash site were rumored to have been pronounced deceased on the scene and taken back to Area 51 for autopsies. One of the men involved ended up getting away with a black and white video and some pictures of the autopsy. He has still remained anonymous to this day.

Was there a government cover up of a UFO or aliens in the Roswell crash? What exactly went on at Area 51? It isn't as widely known, but there were actually two crash sites. Did the government acknowledge the first, only to say it was a high tech weather balloon test that crashed, to divert attention away from a second and more important UFO crash site? Why if nothing went on is the crash site and Area 51 still in lock down after many decades.

In the summer of 1947, a rancher discovered unidentifiable debris in his sheep pasture outside Roswell, New Mexico. Although officials from the local Air Force base asserted that it was a crashed weather balloon, many people believed it was the remains of an extraterrestrial flying saucer. The date was July 4, 1947, when the alleged crash occurred of an alien ship a few miles northwest of the city. The next day's newspaper reported that the commander of the nearby U.S. Army base confirmed that a “flying saucer” had indeed crashed into the desert the previous evening. Rumors circulated that on board the craft had been aliens who had died in the crash. On the second day, however, the commander said the crash was simply a downed weather balloon. Nearly 50 years after the story of the mysterious debris broke, the U.S. military issued a report linking the incident to a top-secret atomic espionage project called Project Mogul. Many people continue to embrace the UFO theory, and hundreds of curiosity seekers visit Roswell and the crash site every year.

Majestic 12 is the name of an alleged organization created by President Truman to manage UFO and extraterrestrial investigations and maintaining strict secrecy in these areas. Many believe they have gone so far as to kill to keep secrets regarding interactions with the U.S. government and extraterrestrial civilizations.

The Majestic 12 (aka MJ-12) organization has become legendary in UFO circles, and has spawned a countless number of books and documentaries. It has even inspired TV shows and movies. The TV show Dark Skies was based on MJ-12, and MJ-12 thwarted Mulder and Scully several times on the X-Files.

The question begs, if this group is so super secret, then how do we know about them? The answer to that question is a tricky one. Most references to the origins of these documents refer to a TV producer who received a mysterious package in the mail on a roll of film in 1984. When developed, the pictures contained top secret documents regarding MJ-12 and their research, including the recovery of crashed space craft and alien bodies.

WHITE HOUSE CONSTRUCTION: THE NEW WEST WING BUNKER

In 2010, a West Wing underground command center project secretly got underway. The construction equipment arrived and tall fences went up around the West Wing of the White House. An initial ill-conceived scheme to deceive the public about the true nature of the construction led to the widespread reporting of a mere "utility upgrade" project. However, the massive scope of the construction led to many questions and theories.

While some officials in federal government agencies sought access to this secret information, most Americans were left in the dark.

Sketch From Abducted Victim

Building The New West Wing Underground Command Center For The Soon Coming Alien Disclosure

Since the early 1960's, the need for a Deep Underground Command Center (DUCC) for alien disclosure has been studied. A Top Secret 1963 memo outlined the requirements for the construction of a DUCC. Because of limits in technology at that time, the project was deferred. Fifty years later, the DUCC is finally becoming a reality.

The new underground command center serves three purposes: 1) To protect key people with sufficient staff and data to render critical decisions, 2) Ensure the survival of the facility to allow dissemination of these decisions, and 3) Safeguard any aliens during the full disclosure period from the public and the public from them. The DUCC can only serve this purpose if the President and his team can secretly relocate there on very short notice.

Unlike the old Presidential Emergency Operations Center (PEOC) which is currently located below the East Wing of the White House, the new secret command center will house its own massive communications data center that interfaces with all military, intelligence, and critical federal agency systems. For security purposes, the exact specifications of this command bunker are classified.

 The White House Tunnel System

Work first began on the secret White House underground tunnel system back in early 1950 under the Truman administration. The White House was deteriorating and it was determined that massive reconstruction was required.

President Truman relocated to the nearby Blair House for three years while the interior of the White House was completely rebuilt with concrete and steel beams.

It was during this time period that forward-thinking engineers came up with the plan to construct a massive underground secret network of tunnels and bunkers to provide the President and his staff the ability to quickly relocate during an emergency in the dawn of the Cold War era. Or in today's world a full alien disclosure (
close encounter of the third kind) with all government secret documents being released.

More and more people around the world are demanding “UFO” disclosure, and governments are responding. In fact, dozens of governments have already admitted to having departments in charge of UFO research and have released decades’ worth of declassified files. These files contain strong evidence to support the existence of extraterrestrial beings,  and report objects traveling at high rates of speeds performing maneuvers that no known aircraft can perform. These well-documented encounters raise a number of important questions, and politicians are now beginning to promise us answers.

“An extraterrestrial influence is investigating our planet. Something is monitoring the planet and they are monitoring it very cautiously.” —  2008 Presidential Candidate Mike Gravel

Jon Podesta, who was Obama’s counselor prior to becoming the head of Hillary Clinton’s current presidential campaign. Before working for Obama, he was White House Chief of Staff for Bill Clinton’s administration. He has gone on record with the following statements about UFOs: "As someone interested in the question of UFOs, I think I have always understood the difference between fact and fiction. I guess you could call me a curious skeptic. But I'm skeptical about many things, including the notion that government always knows best," Podesta wrote. "The time to pull the curtain back on this subject is long overdue."

Ufologist researcher John Lear stated during a 9-02-94 interview, "Mankind is an experiment...  the experiment has been going on for several hundred thousand years. They made sixty-five separate corrections to a being that they made from whatever was on the earth at that time, made it or genetically engineered from something else they had to make us into what we are today, and what they refer to as 'containers'. Now what we contain wasn't specified. You can say it was blood, hormones, enzymes, -- that sort of thing. But also there's fairly good evidence that the experiment involved the soul and that they can experiment with the soul. They can remove it. They can put it in. They can save it, whatever they want. That's my best guess: it has to do with the soul. But to what end the experiment is, I don't know."

Later on he added, "I think they created the whole thing and that's their interest, their handiwork being the breeding of the human race for over 200,000 years in which they made 65 separate corrections to make us what we are today which is they refer to as 'containers'. I doubt that the experiment is over. I think that it's continuing on. Each of these separate corrections they have to, you know, when they bring in the new model, they have to recall the old model, and they do that with mass plagues, floods, gyroscopic processions of the earth."

What does it say in the bible about these alien beings: And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world (examples: UFO sightings, alien abductions, Hollywood's influence, the music industry, TV shows, etc.); he was cast to the earth, and his angels (fallen angels aka aliens who are biblically referred to as demons) were cast out with him. Revelation 12:7-9

The NRA Says, "If Jesus Had a Gun, He'd Be Alive Today"

The National Rifle Association says, "If Jesus Christ had an assault rifle or even a sidearm like a Glock, he would be alive today, an American, and a modern day carpenter."

This statement was swiftly attacked by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), and religious leaders, including Pope Francis who issued a rebuttal from the Vatican. The Pope said the NRA's statements were "historically inaccurate and specifically that the Jews in biblical times did not have access to firearms."

ADL national director Herbert Leslie said, "Even if Jesus had a sidearm, such as a semiautomatic pistol, he would have run out of bullets quickly. The immense amount of javelins, arrows, rocks, or swords available to the Romans in this era would certainly enforce the totalitarian power of the Roman state."

James W. "Jim" Porter, an attorney and also president of The National Rifle Association (NRA), said, "Jesus certainly had his Second Amendment constitutional right to be armed and he did not require the need for a background check."

NASA Chimps Had John F. Kennedy Killed - New Book Reveals All

Gov. Informant Who Witnessed The
Contract Being Put Out On Kennedy

On the morning of January 31, 1961, in south Florida, a 5-year-old chimpanzee — dubbed “Ham” by his handlers — ate a breakfast of baby cereal, condensed milk, vitamins and half an egg. Then the unassuming 37-pound primate went out and made aeronautic history: Aboard a NASA space capsule, traveling thousands of miles an hour almost 160 miles above the Earth, he became the first chimp in space.

The success of Ham’s flight helped ratchet up even further the already frantic contest for scientific and space supremacy between the U.S. and the Soviet Union — and briefly made Ham something of a star.

Here, LIFE.com commemorates Ham’s 16-minute suborbital mission with photos taken before, during and after his wild ride. The pictures above capture an era when technology, ideology and propaganda converged in an era-defining struggle known as the Space Race.

Well before the USSR launched the world’s first artificial satellite, in 1957 — effectively freaking out virtually the entire Western hemisphere — and decades before the U.S. put Armstrong and Aldrin on the moon in 1969, Americans and Soviets used animals to test the rigors and dangers that humans might face in outer space. Mice, rhesus monkeys, dogs — all sorts of creatures blasted off from the surface of the Earth strapped atop rockets and locked in test planes: many suffered injury; not a few of them died.

Ham and his cohorts were picked for the Mercury program over other hominids (gorillas and orangutans) because they’re smaller — and thus could fit in the Mercury capsule — and because, more importantly, “chimpanzees have physical and mental characteristics similar to man,” as LIFE pointed out in its Feb. 10 1961 issue.

The most famous of all the Mercury chimps, due to his landmark January 1961 flight, Ham was actually not publicly called Ham until after the flight succeeded. The name by which he’s now known — an acronym for Holloman Aerospace Medical Center at the Air Force base — was only widely used when he returned safely to earth; NASA reportedly wanted to avoid bad publicity should a named (and thus a known, publicly embraced) animal be killed; all the Mercury chimps were known by numbers.

LIFE’s Ralph Morse — who photographed the Space Race and NASA astronauts for more than a decade — told LIFE .com that even 50 years later, he fondly recalls the astrochimps.

“Ham, especially, was a very friendly fellow,” he said. “Those were great assignments, shooting the early years with NASA. You really got the sense that these were incredibly smart people just working their tails off to do something that had never been done before.”

“The training of Ham and other astrochimps,” wrote LIFE, “was a scaled-down version of the human astronauts’. After curing them of jungle diseases and parasites, a special corps of veterinarians … kept track of their skeletal development by periodic X-ray exams, and gave them regular heart, muscle, and ear-nose-and-throat check-ups.”

The astrochimps were not trained to “pilot” space capsules, but instead to perform routine tasks during suborbital flights, and to act, in the most elemental way, as test subjects — facing little-known physical and psychological perils — ahead of their human counterparts in the Mercury program and beyond.

Weightless Training In Free Fall

Before humans actually went into space, one of the prevailing theories of the perils of space flight was that humans might not be able to survive long periods of weightlessness. For several years, there had been a serious debate among scientists about the effects of prolonged weightlessness. American and Russian scientists utilized animals - mainly monkeys, chimps and dogs - in order to test each country's ability to launch a living organism into space and bring it back alive and unharmed.

When Ham finally blasted off from Cape Canaveral, he was well-trained for what lay ahead. “He had a form-fitted couch like the astronauts’. The van which took him to the launching pad was the same van the astronauts used. The Mercury capsule he rode in was nearly identical to the capsule that would take the astronauts into space, equipped with the same life-support system of oxygen and pressure which kept the astronauts alive.”

“Poor Ham,” wrote LIFE, “who was expected to sustain a maximum of 11 Gs, briefly pulled 18” during the flight, “two more than the astronauts have been scheduled for in their training.” Ham, however, seemed to weather it all with aplomb. “When Ham’s capsule was opened at sea after the flight,” the LIFE report continued, “first a hand was thrust out to shake the anxious vet’s, then Ham stepped out, burping proudly.”

Everyone was so proud of Ham and his fellow chimps and the advances to the space program that they had made.

A short three months after Ham’s 1961 flight, astronaut Alan Shepard piloted the Mercury capsule on his own historic, 15-minute suborbital space flight, and was feted with ticker tape parades in New York and Washington.

This made Ham furious and also his fellow chimps. After so much rigorous training along with the physical and mental testing that NASA had put them through. All for nothing. These humans had now taken over the space program!

Ham and his fellow chimps vowed to get back. That's when they came up with a plot to kill the commander in chief - the president. That's right Kennedy. He was the one who had the power to pull strings and had the ultimate responsibility. But he did nothing to reinstate the program as it was before. Years went by. And still nothing. That's when their plot came into fruition. The training and the logistics of the assassination were complete. And then the date was set. There was to be no going back now. The rest is history.

Grassy Knoll Sniper In Training, Date June 1962

Assassin's Accomplices

Author Of Book And Eyewitness
To The Grassy Knoll Shooting

Recently a NASA chimp has come forward as a witness to the assassination of President Kennedy has stated to have seen smoke or smelled gunpowder in the Grassy Knoll area. He's stated that right before this incident that he himself saw several chimps in that area. One of which he knew for a fact was a trained marksman.

None of this evidence has become publicly available until now.  When asked why he waited so long to publicly come out with this information after so long of time has passed. He stated that he needed to get this off his chest and that because of his advanced age it was finally time to get this information out to the public.

Also a fellow NASA chimp who has been a confident of his and a government informant has come forward to collaborate his story and information.

By the way his new book, "I Saw A Chimp Shoot The President" will be coming out soon!

The foreword will be by Jim Marrs. A well-known JFK researcher and author. Jim says, "Concerning the Kennedy assassination this is the best damn book on the subject to date. You can mark my words". Jim's latest book is 'Our Occulted History'.

The Great Reset Where Will It Lead?

Origins of the “great reset”

The world is being shaken by massive changes in technology, politics, economics, environmental issues and culture, all reshaping our view of history and reality. These ideas are spreading around the world. The changes we are experiencing are like the shifting of the earth’s tectonic plates, creating a seismic movement of events on the world scene.

It’s tempting and calming to think this is normal, or that the world will return to normal. But already we are seeing ideas being embraced that aim toward a world far different from the familiar order that has prevailed since the end of World War II in 1945.

Some today are openly calling for a “great reset” of the world order. This terminology has been adopted by the World Economic Forum. Its founder, Klaus Schwab, published a book last year titled Covid-19: The Great Reset. While the book was written in 2020, six months into the pandemic, it forecast a post-pandemic world where nations work more closely to solve problems facing mankind.

The World Economic Forum annually hosts a meeting for elite leaders of business, government and culture in Davos, Switzerland. This meeting has always attracted attention and much suspicion from global conspiracy theorists who look at the gathering as a global summit of people plotting to take over the world.

It’s easy to dismiss such theories, and most should be dismissed. But the fact is, these leaders of business, media and government already run much of the world. They are the influencers, leaders and shapers of entertainment, education and media. They hold immense power, influence and wealth. And many of them are seeking to bring major change to the world.

The fact is, this group does exist, and those in it do think about ways to create a world that is quite different—more along the lines of a one-world political entity. The word transnational is used to describe the world many would like to see emerge in the future. A transnational world with fewer boundaries, less nationalism and a singular governmental structure is, in their mind, the path to equity, peace and brotherhood throughout the earth.

Transnationalism is nothing new. It’s been around for a long time. Since the end of World War II and the creation of the United Nations, the global transnational reset has been relentlessly moving forward. The World Health Organization, the World Bank and the International Court of Justice at the Hague and many other global bodies have been formed to promote unity, peace and stability, preventing a return to the global warfare that ravaged the world twice in the 20th century.

Apart from Donald Trump, most United States presidents and their administrations in this period have been supportive of the transnational worldview to varying extents. The U.S. State Department has worked to foster close integration between American policy and the goals of the international community. President George H.W. Bush was a significant promoter of the global world order. His actions after the fall of the Iron Curtain and collapse of the Soviet Union set the stage for the global order we see today.

Reordering the world and how we live

What matters about the world’s richest, most powerful men is that they are interested in resetting the world and the way we live. What they say in this regard is significant. We should pay attention to that. With this in mind I read Mr. Schwab’s book, cowritten with economist Thierry Malleret. Covid-19: The Great Reset is vague, light and short on detailed plans for a “reset.” It’s not exactly a detailed manifesto for a global order to take over the world.

The lens through which this book, and others espousing the same idea, should be viewed is the fundamental understanding that the global elite are transnationalists with no national loyalty. They see nation-states and boundaries as obstacles that need to be removed.

In their view, national governments are relics of a bygone era needing to be swept away. Nation-states are convenient places where global operations like Coca-Cola, Amazon or Apple exist to serve the global community.

References to the “social contract” between the individual and the state argue that the state has failed to secure justice, equity and freedom for all peoples and races. Citing the Black Lives Matter movement and the sexual gender revolution as examples, the authors make a case that existing governments have not delivered on their promises and that they lack the ideas and policies to meet the challenges of revolt and demonstrations in the streets of America and other countries. Implied is the need for a new social contract but without specifics defining what that would be.

America’s time as world leader is up

One theme does come through very clearly in this book: America’s time as the leader of the world is coming to a close. One quote makes this point: “American power and prosperity have been built and reinforced by the global trust in the dollar and the willingness of customers abroad to hold it, most often in the form of US government bonds. This has enabled the US to borrow cheaply abroad and benefit from low interest rates at home, which in turn has allowed Americans to consume beyond their means.”

This was written just after the first wave of government money voted by Congress to address the economic fallout of responses to the pandemic. Since then trillions more have been handed out, ballooning America’s debt to nearly $30 trillion dollars.

Schwab and Malleret rightly point out that this is unsustainable. Governments and international banks trusting that America can make good on this debt have their limits. They conclude: “This unsustainable path will worsen in the post-pandemic, post-bailout era. This argument suggests that something major will therefore have to change, either through a much-reduced geopolitical role or higher taxation, or both, otherwise the rising deficit will reach a threshold beyond which non-US investors are unwilling to fund it.”

A fundamental idea underlying any “reset” would be the replacement of America in its role of global leadership. This book certainly envisions such a global future. And it’s a consistent feature in most efforts advocating a global reset.

To be clear, the United States does have many problems—all are serious, and any one of these could lead to a collapse in its current world role. One such example is soaring national debt. America is currently on an unprecedented spending binge that is unsustainable. Inflation is rising as a glut of cheap dollars chases fewer goods and services. The debt the United States is accumulating is being financed by other nations. A day of reckoning will come. The question is a matter of when.

Until that day comes, America still has the strongest economy in the world, along with the most powerful military. Its navy keeps the peace along the world sea lanes.

But currently America is bitterly divided politically and culturally. Decades of social drift have resulted in an entrenched ideology seeking to rewrite the social contract of America. Efforts to recast its founding as being solely on the basis of slavery and injustice have taken root. Teaching of critical race theory seeks to divide people, reshaping their views through the lenses of malicious race ideas.

A shift already underway

The idea of a great reset is already at work and well advanced in the United States. It’s just that other tags and terminology are used. If the ideas pushed in education, government and media take the nation to the desired result, within a few years the nation would be unrecognizable. This is not a conspiracy theory, but observation of reality that comes with a reading of the websites of the various organizations involved in this push to reset America.

Readers of Beyond Today should grasp what's going on. America is in a most critical moment, perhaps the most dangerous of its history. While still the leading nation in nearly every category, it is crippled by its own grave national sins while facing a changing world led by challengers who wish to overturn the present world order and take the lead. China is a leading contender while other countries like Russia meddle in critical ways that pose imminent dangers (like cyberhacking, which China is also accused of). Other regional powers such as Turkey and Iran seek to shape the future of the Middle East.

Current movers behind the idea of a great reset have their own end in mind, to shape a new global order. To counter U.S. influence, they lend support to China’s long-held goal of becoming the dominant world power, attaining its supposed rightful position as the superior culture. Meanwhile, the European Union (EU) has a similar mission to shape a world in line with its historic culture and vision.

Our world is poised to see a change of power relationships in the coming years—perhaps the very near future. The Covid-19 pandemic will likely be seen as the initial opening into this new world. Historically, pandemics have reset the world order. The plaque that ravaged Constantinople in the mid-sixth century is such an example. Its impact determined the future of Europe and the Middle East in the period after the collapse of the Roman Empire in the West.

What experts, leaders and those who seek to create a new world order do not know nor understand is the biblical worldview revealed in the Bible. The inspired Word of God lays out His plan through the ages—which includes not only the story of salvation but the map of world history from its beginning to its conclusion. A thorough understanding of what begins in Genesis and concludes in the book of Revelation brings the critical missing dimension of divinely guided history, otherwise known as prophecy.

Historians and political thinkers examine history and make predictions based on national power and observed patterns. Retrospective history easily sees the rise of Egypt, Rome, France, Russia, Great Britain and America as dominant powers. Many factors such as geography, technology, wisdom and technological advancement can explain the rise of great powers of the past. But this alone cannot account for why some rose to great heights and why others did not.

Why, for instance, in the fifth century, did not the nomadic Huns overrun all the old Roman Empire and the world see a long line of emperors descend from Atilla? Why, in the 15th century, did not China move from its Asian fortress to dominate European powers and spread its culture over far-flung lands? And who would have predicted at the beginning of the seventh century that a dominating world religion would come from the sands of Arabia to spread its influence over the former lands of Babylon, Persia, Greece and Rome?

History through another lens

Is there another lens by which to view history? There is. You are reading a source that looks to the Word of God, the Bible, to understand why the world operates as it does and why some nations are among the haves and others among the have nots.

There is purpose by which you can understand why empires have risen and fallen through the ages and why today’s world is on the verge of a reset beyond the imagination of those working hard to create one. The Bible shows why there is injustice, racism and failed governments that keep their people enslaved to systems that deprive them of freedom, adequate education, economic opportunity, proper health care and knowledge of right values. It also shows the source of a coming global reset unlike any planned or sought by the world’s elites.

The book of Revelation is Jesus Christ’s prophetic message to the modern world. As a commentary on spiritual, political and human affairs, it is accurate. It shows us a coming world superpower that for a brief period will dominate the world to create a time of peace and stability that will astonish everyone. This power is called in Scripture by the name Babylon the Great.

It will weave a deceptive web of seductive spirituality, economic prosperity and peace on the nations. The imagery of Revelation 17 shows a scarlet-clad woman astride a fantastic beast with multiple heads and horns. It is a picture of a combined church-state power that controls world events at the end of the age. World leaders have cooperated with this “woman,” a symbol of a world spiritual authority, to the point where they cannot see, speak, think or act with wisdom, prudence and truth. This is what is meant by committing “fornication” and being “drunk with the wine of her fornication” (verses 1-6).

Critical to our discussion on the great reset is what happens in verses 12-13: “The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast.”

Here is described a moment when world leaders give up their national sovereignty to a supranational government that will secure the world order in a moment of crisis that threatens to bring everything down. A leader with ideas and a plan will emerge at the front of this geopolitical alliance and offer a promising future to the world’s citizens. He will help them through these troublesome times. Life as everyone wants it will go on. This is the biblically prophesied great reset foretold through Jesus Christ.

Since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic and government response to it we have been watching and seeing the outlines of such a final world system taking shape. A careful analysis and understanding of what Scripture is saying can help us see the shape of the emerging new order.

Can we recognize what is happening?

The book of Revelation describes a moment when nations combine their power into a world system that achieves the age-old dream of “a tower that reaches to the heavens” (Genesis 11:4, New International Version). Technology promises not only a convenient, connected world but also the hope of extended life and possibly even immortality through medical technology. The ability to reach into space and extend human civilization seems nearer to reality.

World economic development has progressed, and the goods and services of the global community move unchecked across oceans and land bringing wealth to multinational companies and a rising standard of living for much of the world. Revelation 18 describes such a scene when it shows the goods shipped throughout the world under the guidance of the governing structure of this end-time Babylon. We see this even now. But what is described is something larger: “All who travel by ship, sailors, and as many as trade on the sea, stood at a distance . . .” (verse 17).

The move to a more fully integrated global economy is pressing relentlessly forward. Most multinational companies no longer think of themselves as large national companies. They have offices around the globe employing people of all nationalities. Call centers service customers from India while virtual meetings involving employees on multiple continents are routine. To move to a global standard of currency exchange and governance would only be the next logical step.

Loyalty is increasingly to a global order espousing universal values claimed to apply to all people regardless of sexual or gender identity, race, ethnicity or national identity. Any distinction that does not match the evolving global norm is considered regressive, hateful and discriminatory.

Now we are seeing attitudes and values shaped to accept as normal the LGBTQ agenda. We also see this in the conditioning behind critical race theory. We see this in the reframing of national history. In America if enough young people of the next generation can be persuaded that the story of America is not worth saving, a significant goal is accomplished. It will then be easy to jettison the nation as exceptional and a blessing and instead embrace a different narrative as part of a global order promising liberty, justice and freedom for all to live and act as they determine—within, of course, newly approved bounds.
Don’t think it can’t happen

Does this sound impossible? It will never happen, you say? Then consider how quickly the world began accepting a pandemic lockdown in March 2020.

Within a matter of days schools closed, all but essential businesses shuttered, professional sports stopped and people were working in their homes on Zoom. No vote was taken, discussion ended as quickly as it began, and the new normal was the new normal.

The original “two weeks to flatten the curve” and no mask turned into a year and half (in some places more) of national dysfunction. By mid-summer 2020 many had had enough, and some states slowly reopened only to shut down again if a surge of cases erupted. It took until mid-2021 for much of the world to reopen to domestic travel, while much of the world remained closed to foreign travel. And there are now some calls to do it all over again.

Many have marveled at the nature of the global lockdown we’ve experienced and its impact on culture. Relationships were altered. All age groups showed a marked increase in anxiety. Drug abuse and overdose deaths skyrocketed. The impact of what happened will be years in understanding. Yet it all happened quickly, with a majority cooperating in the name of science, health safety and goodwill. Imagine a future calamity and the reaction.

As we saw, governments decreed and society complied—many to their own hurt. And we have certainly not seen the last of that. Events described in Revelation will happen through government decree. The entire world will be reset, and people will soon realize they are caught in a trap, a box canyon of tribulation when Satan realizes he has but a brief time to reign over the kingdoms of this world.

Revelation describes the end stages of the coming great reset—the rise of a coalition of nations into a system the Bible labels as “Babylon.” For a time all will seem well. While the world will praise this system and benefit by economic cooperation, it will reject the servants of God who witness against and resist coming under the mark of its authority.

We are living at a moment in history and prophecy like that of the age of the prophet Jeremiah. Jeremiah’s messages went to the nations who were being rooted out and pulled down. The old order was being reset in a time of building and planting. Babylon rose to direct and set the pattern for a world order that has endured to the modern time.

We are seeing the leading edge of a final revival of this age-long system that stands in defiance of the purpose and plans of the living God. May we all have eyes to see what is happening today!
